The Rocky Mountain Regional Animal Health Laboratory is managed under the Colorado Department of Agriculture’s Division of Laboratory Services, which also includes Biochemistry and Metrology. This ISO 17025 accredited laboratory provides fast, accurate lab results for a number of animal testing services, including Coggins tests.

The RMRAHL offers several benefits including a convenient EIA testing app, though you still have to contact the lab directly to set up your account and make arrangements for submitting the equine serum samples. The organization also provides a user-friendly PDF form for submitting samples for testing. A Coggins Test, however, will also require you to submit the VS 10-11 form with your sample.

This lab also offers pooled trichomoniasis testing that can help manage costs when submitting 5 or more samples. Other notable testing services for regulatory diseases include Brucellosis, Johne’s, BVD, and Scrapie Genetic Susceptibility. You can find their entire list of testing and fees through their website, as well as FAQs to help guide you through their testing samples, results and documentation reporting, and other animal testing services.

Open Monday through Friday 8am—5pm.
