The Fort Collins branch is the flagship location for the Colorado State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, one of the most respected veterinary and animal testing institutions in the world. The Colorado State University Diagnostic Laboratories hold Laboratory Accreditation from the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD). The laboratory is a National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN) member in Good Standing, a member of the Laboratory Response Network (LRN), and a member of FDA’s Veterinary Laboratory Investigation and Response Network (Vet-LIRN).

Coggins testing and other tests for regulatory disease can be submitted by the animal owners, but for more active cases of animal disease, the lab strongly recommends working with and submitting testing samples with the assistance of a practicing veterinarian. Ranchers and other local animal owners can drop their samples off with the proper paperwork at any time of day. While the lab is only open from 8am-5pm during the week, it has an after-hours drop-off with refrigerated storage for small-batch samples. Long-distance customers can also reach out to one of the other 2 branches (Rocky Ford and Western Slope) in the CSU VDL system.

Former and long-time customers should know this lab recently moved to a different location in the same building with an updated address as well.
