Ferguson and Associates Equine Hospital is committed to offering the best care for its equine patients and the best client service to horse owners and vet practitioners. Dr. Ferguson is a member of AVMA, FVMA, AAEP, and FAEP. He is currently licensed in the states of Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Louisiana, Georgia, California, Texas and South Carolina. He also owned and maintained a racing stable for a while, making this a preferred location for those who are responsible for the care of racehorses.

Hope E. Kurth owns and operates the Ferguson & Associates Veterinary Diagnostics Laboratory. She then ran the lab for an equine hospital here in Ocala for eight years, before starting her own lab Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. She is certified by the USDA, APHIS, VS, NVSL to provide equine infectious anemia (EIA) results. In addition to wide range of traditional DVM Services, the equine services offered by their VDL include:  

  • Cushings AM/PM (T4, Cortisol, Insulin)                                                           
  • Equine DexSupression – Pre, 12-15, &24 hr. Post
  • Dex (Give 0.04 mg/kg IV or IM. 3 Samples     
  • Equine DexSupression – Pre & 24 Hr. Post dex.
