PrairieView Veterinary Laboratory is a full-service diagnostic veterinary laboratory in Des Moines, Iowa. Their team of lab techs is ready to help with your equine diagnostic service needs. They can issue your horse(s) a clean bill of health for regulatory diseases. They can also help you identify exactly what is going on with an ailing horse. Their services include rapid and reliable diagnostics including hematology, chemistry, cytology, histopathology, endocrinology and microbiology. Along with EIA Coggins testing, they provide same-day results on most routine lab services. They run lab tests every business day and are even available four after-hours testing for an additional cost.

The PrairieView Veterinary Laboratory offers some of the most responsive and complete supporting services for veterinarians and horse owners. Like any vet lab, specimens must be submitted in a leak-proof container in a sealed inner package with absorbent materials and a sturdier outer package. This lab, however, actually provides new clients with a start-up pack that includes these packaging materials with business-reply boxes, free of charge. They also have a courier service for local customers. Fed Ex, Airborne, Express or Priority Mail may also be used. The lab is open Monday through Friday 6am-2:30pm and Saturday 6am-12pm.

PrairieView prices are subject to change and based on how many tests you’re requesting. You can contact this clinic directly to inquire about current prices for your testing needs. You can use this requisition form to ask for Coggins and other animal testing. You will also need to submit the appropriate VS Form 10-11 or else online using the GlobalVetLink system. Laboratory results are phoned or faxed – based on your preference – the day they are completed. Vet and client copies will be mailed to the submitting veterinarian and/or provided through GlobalVetLink.
