Established in 1986, the Panhandle Animal Laboratory primarily serves local veterinary clinics in area surrounding Coeur d’Alene, as well as the veterinarians and their animal owners in Idaho, Washington, and Montana. To better accommodate their local clients, they also provide a free courier service for local vet clinics. Local clinics can drop off their stat samples without any additional fee. The laboratory is open from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 8am-12pm.

Their mission is to produce quality patient results while maintaining lower competitive prices for the tests they perform. Quality controls are performed regularly to acquire confidence for unknown patient specimen. Lab samples are processed throughout the day and night (for after-hours sample drop-off). Results are reported as soon as the tests are completed. Thus, you can expect results in about 2 days for AGID Coggins testing and about 1 hour for ELISA Coggins testing. In addition to individual tests, they also provide full lab panels and diagnostic services.
