Located in Sunset, Louisiana, Baronne Veterinary Clinic (BVC) is an all-equine medical and surgical facility with ambulatory services and in-house diagnostic services, including EIA Coggins tests. Their routine Coggins testing is part of a larger semiannual wellness program that includes vaccinations, deworming, physicals, and sheath cleaning, as well as chiropractic and acupuncture treatment as needed.

As well as emergency, reproductive, surgical, and many other equine care services, they have a full diagnostic lab in-house with digital radiography, digital ultrasound, video endoscopy, localized anesthesia in lameness evaluation, thermography, ophthalmology, and lab work (including complete blood counts, chemistry analysis, thyroid levels, fecal counts, and bacterial cultures). Their veterinarians can interpret these test results and develop the most appropriate treatment programs for your horse.

They have big-name clients like Evangeline Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel, Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel, Louisiana Downs, and The Fair Grounds. But they also serve local farms, pleasure horses, and other small-scale equine operations. The practice has been an equine resource for the immediate Sunset community and horse owners across the state for more than twenty years. Including seven vet practitioners, their veterinary staff has a reputation for being as compassionate as they are highly skilled. The team knows that horses are often not only part of a business, but part of the family.
