In 2004, the Southwest Louisiana Veterinary Clinic bought and began renovations on their state-of-the-art veterinarian clinic and laboratory facility. This mixed-animal practice, nevertheless, provides comprehensive veterinary care for equine patients and their clients. As well as routine and emergency equine care services, the Southwest Louisiana Veterinary Clinic is known in Sulphur, DeQuincy, and throughout southwest Louisiana for its in-clinic diagnostic services. Their equine laboratory conducts routine Coggins testing. The lab is also equipped with some of the most cutting-edge blood chem and CBC (complete blood count) analyzers available. Expedited diagnostic testing is also essential to get an accurate diagnosis and begin treatment as quickly as possible.

Other routine equine services include vaccinations, pregnancy exams, dentistry, radiology, and ultrasound. Their surgical suite provides support for emergency medical services, such as laceration repair. Both clinic locations are open Mon-Fri 8:30am—12pm. The Sulphur clinic also has extended hours from 2—5pm and Sat from 8:30am—12pm. The DeQuincy satellite office primarily focuses on small animals but can also do EIA Coggins tests and equine vaccinations. You should call for appointments to make sure the veterinarian will be in the office.
