Part of the state’s Quality Assurance and Regulation Division, Maine’s State & Federal Diagnostics Laboratory provides proficient, accurate surveillance and diagnostic testing for equine vets and other livestock and agricultural industries. The laboratory performs a wide range of serological testing and monitoring for any animal species that involves interstate and international exportation, for breeding purposes, and for general animal diagnostic services. These regulations and requirements are in compliance with the State Federal Brucellosis Eradication Program, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services, and the National Poultry Improvement Plan.
