A full-service veterinary diagnostic laboratory for more than three decades, the Michigan State University VDL offers more than 800 tests across 11 across a comprehensive set of diagnostic disciples and is one of the country’s foremost animal diagnostic laboratories. The MSU VDL provides a good amount of information resources through its website. Among its guidelines for submitting samples, you’ll discover that there are different mailing addresses when using USPS compared to UPS or FedEx. The lab will also send you mailers with everything you need to label and box your samples. That said, the shipping requirements provides basic but essential information about how to package your sample, including the federal guidelines for three-component sample packaging. There ELISA Coggins test typically creates results within 1-3 days with tests run Monday through Friday. The regular printable format is $10. For GVL reporting, it’s only $8.
