Cannon Veterinary Services is a full-service animal clinic for household pets and large animals including equine veterinary care. Their primary focus is preventative health care and wellness programs, including routine Coggins testing, health certificates, and vaccinations. Their capabilities include minor surgical procedures, reproductive services, dentistry, animal management/nutritional/behavioral counseling. Cannon Veterinary Services also provide emergency health services for horses (and pets) from established clients. Dr. Winter and his dedicated staff are eager to help with all your equine health needs.
Their certified Coggins lab offers both AGID and ELISA testing for equine infectious anemia with turnaround times of a few days or within 24 hours, respectively. Standard federal forms and regulatory guidelines for Coggins testing apply. CVS will mail you the necessary forms or you can pick them up directly from the clinic. Likewise, you can bring your horse to the clinic or for an additional fee the veterinary staff also makes house/farm calls.
CVS continuously strives toward the highest-quality, professional veterinary care. They treat every animal with dignity, respect and compassion—while respecting the importance of the human-animal bond and that owners often know their animals best. They also provide a solid set of educational tools and information resources. This includes general knowledge topics about equine health as well as specific guidance about the subtle differences in interstate laws for Coggins testing. (Wisconsin requires a negative Coggins test within the current year, while Minnesota requires a negative test within one year of the current date.)
