Bristow Veterinary Clinic is a mixed-animal vet practice based in Bristow, OK. This is a family-owned-and-operated business in the fullest sense. Dr. Howard Leslie Mitchell “Doc” founded Bristow Veterinary Hospital in 1962 and was an active part of the practice for more than 60 years. He was one of the very first veterinarians in the entire country to offer equine chiropractic care. Today, his progeny, William and Kim Edwards Mitchell, continue to run the business as co-owner veterinarians. The rest of the dedicated team includes 3 vet technicians, 2 office support staff, and an in-house equine farrier.

More than the human touch, they have modern veterinary equipment and facilities including an in-house Coggins lab. They run their Coggins testing most days of the week (except Weds). When submitting samples before 2pm, you can even request same-day results if needed. They also offer access to GlobalVetLink making it easy to report your official test results for equine infectious anemia as well as your certificate of veterinary inspection.

The rest of their large animal veterinary services include routine care and wellness exams, ultrasound, dentistry, surgery, palpation, pre-purchase exams, lameness evaluation, castration, acupuncture, digital radiography, laser therapy, fluoroscope, and an online pharmacy. The lab’s hours are 8:30am – 5pm Monday through Friday.
