The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine (UTCVM) has a Diagnostic Laboratory Service that is dedicated to delivering the highest-quality diagnostic support in a timely and collegial manner. Supporting research activities, educational goals, and the larger veterinary community, this laboratory is staffed by accomplished scientists and lab professionals working with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. They run both AGID and ELISA Coggins testing for equine infectious anemia with turnaround times between 2 hours and 2 days. For the fastest turnaround times, you can pay extra for digital reporting. They also have a local courier service available. Their virology lab requires 1 ml serum samples. The lab provides resources for packaging and shipping instructions, a list of tests and fees, and online forms and documents.

Their laboratory sections include bacteriology, clinical pathology, endocrinology, pharmacology, histopathology, immunology, parasitology, virology, and genomics. The UTCVM Diagnostic Laboratory is managed by Director of Diagnostic Services, Dr Bob Donnell.

Their regular lab hours are Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm and Saturday 8am – 12pm.
