Since 1967, Brazos Valley Equine Hospitals has worked to fulfill Dr. Terrell “T-Bone” Buchanan’s mission of healing horses, helping horse owners, and providing high-quality equine veterinary care. While maintaining the highest level of customer service, their expert staff is committed to helping each equine reach its utmost potential. They maintain six clinic locations, three in southeast Texas and three in north central Texas in Stephenville. Their hours are 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday, plus limited hours on Saturdays.

Their Coggins testing options include routine AGID tests with a 3-day turnaround as well as ELISA tests with next-day results. They also provide plenty of other equine care services. Reproductive care includes stallion training, breeding soundness exams, semen shipping and freezing, artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and reproductive surgery emergencies. Other types of surgery include orthopedic, soft tissue, upper respiratory, laparoscopic, GI, wobblers, and cataract surgery. Their internal medicine and critical care offers services for respiratory and infectious diseases, high-risk pregnancies and neonatal care, ophthalmology, cardiology, neurology, and 24-Hour ICU care. In addition, Brazos Valley Equine Hospitals provides sports medicine, alternative medicine, ambulatory service, and diagnostic imaging.
