The Garner Equine Laboratory was started in 2000 and quickly earned USDA accreditation as an EIA Coggins laboratory. In addition to digital Coggins testing and health certificates for their own clients, they also perform this regulatory testing for other veterinarians in the area. Their lab offers routine testing for equine infectious anemia with 24-hour turnaround times as well as expedited testing within an hour. The laboratory also offers a long list of tests and diagnostic services including T4 (thyroid), progesterone, chem panels, electrolytes, complete blood counts (CBC), cytology, and sensitivity cultures.

The laboratory is one component of the larger Garner Equine veterinary practice. Horse owners and livestock producers can find a comprehensive set of care services for their equine animals that includes dentistry, emergency care, endoscopy, shockwave therapy, reproduction, lameness exams, optimal health programs, radiology, surgery, and ultrasound. The clinic is open from 8am – 12pm and 1pm – 5pm Monday through Friday, but they’re open an extra hour until 6pm on Wednesdays. They’re also open Saturdays from 8am – 12pm but closed Sundays.
