The Veterinary Rapid Lab is an official APHIS-approved Coggins laboratory that’s part of the Shiner Animal Hospital. Popular among horse owners with equines that are entering exhibitions, traveling across state lines, or being put up for sale. Veterinary Rapid Lab offers Coggins testing with 1-hour or 24-hour turnaround times. With results reported through GlobalVetLink, you’ll have easy and reliable access to online documentation, including health certificates, almost immediately.

Founded by Dr. Dan Stafford in May of 1996, Shiner Animal Hospital provides veterinary medicine and compassionate animal care to the Lavaca County area. This full-service, mixed-animal clinic offers the highest standard of quality for equipment and compassion in veterinary care. They will treat your animals like their own.

The full list of equine services available at Shiner Animal Hospital includes Equine Palpation, Ultrasound, Castrations, A.I., Float Teeth, Power Float Dentistry, Vaccinations, Parasite Control, Digital Radiology, Colic Exams, Lameness Exams, Joint Injections, and Surgery. Their team includes a veterinary doctor, lab specialist, and 3 vet technicians. Their normal hours of operation are 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday and 8am – 12pm on Saturdays.
