Part of the Department of Veterinary Sciences, the Wyoming State Veterinary Laboratory is committed to providing accessible, timely, and accurate diagnostic services. They collaborate with other diagnostic laboratories, veterinary schools, federal and state agencies, and other researchers and teaching programs at the University of Wyoming. This fully-accredited lab provides animal disease research & education to veterinarians, students, and the people of Wyoming.
This includes both AGID and ELISA Coggins testing for equine infectious anemia. These tests generally cost $10, but you can get a dollar discount when ordering 10 or more samples. The test serum samples must be submitted with the required federal form information, whether you prefer the paper, VSPS or GlobalVetLink. Their quality assurance program ensures that all procedures and documentation are up to the quality standards of the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD). The lab strives to continually modernize their techniques and equipment. Current development efforts are centered on increasing the range of molecular diagnostic tests available for infectious diseases. The lab is staffed Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm from September to April and 7:30am – 4:30pm from May to August.
